About Eric Harsa
My name is Eric Matthew (Matt) Harsa. I am originally from the pan handle of Florida (Northwestern) around the Ft. Walton Beach and Destin area. I lived across the street from a bayou until the family moved to the Little Rock, Arkansas area the summer after my eighth grade year was over. It was a great place to be a kid. I spent most of my spare time at the bayou swimming, fishing, and crabbing. We would occasionally go to the beach in Ft. Walton or Destin where I got acquainted with the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico and those white sugar sand beaches. After moving to Arkansas, I continued to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Instead of the bayou and the Gulf, I got acquainted with the lakes, rivers, and streams of Arkansas which have a beauty all their own. I also enjoy the woods here. I have spent the majority of my adult life here in Arkansas where I have enjoyed many fishing trips, hikes, and drives to state parks. The outdoors is a source of inspiration for my artwork. The created world and the God who created it have inspired me throughout my life. While most of my work is not religious in nature, I would say that most of it is inspired by nature. Getting into the outdoor world is just about always inspiring. I have painted with oils, acrylics, and watercolors. My work with acrylics is mostly abstract while my work with oils and watercolors is mostly realism. A lot of what you see here is the abstract acrylics. However, I do plan on putting oils and watercolors out as well. I hope that you enjoy my art. Thank you for taking the time to look at this.
